Rendezvous Support

MacDialer supports Rendezvous. If more than one copy of MacDialer is on the network, and both are running MacDialer v1.5 or later, then MacDialer can find the other users and automagically build a menu containing available MacDialer users. Setting up Rendezvous is very easy.

  1. Open the preferences window and push the toolbar button named "Rendezvous."
  2. Type your name and phone number into the necessary fields.
  3. Click the button to start Rendezvous support.

Rendezvous should start and populate the Rendezvous menu with names of other users on your local network. If you do not see the Rendezvous menu in the main MacDialer menu, then check the "Customize menus" preference pane to see that you have not turned showing the Rendezvous menu off.
