MacDialer lets you create your own menu icons for use in the Address Book and Phone Book menus. There isn't any real trick to this other than knowing what format to save your icons in and what name to give them. The icons used in MacDialer are all 16x16, so having your icons a similar size is a good idea. Simply create the icons and save them as PNGs (portable network graphics). Name the icons according to their type. Home icons should be "home.png," business icons should be "business.png," cell phone icons should be "cell.png," non-categorizable icons should be "other.png," fax icons should be named "fax.png," and finally the menu icon should be "menu.png." Save these files to a folder and select this folder from the dialog box that pops up when you select "Other…" from the menu icons pop up menu.
