Here are some questions that are often asked in regards to Considera:
How do I save documents in Considera?
Considera automatically saves documents as you edit them, but you can save individual documents by pressing cmd-S or every project by pressing cmd-shift-S.
How do I get documents out of Considera?
You can export documents using the export feature located under the "File" menu. You can also drag and drop files directly from the Documents table onto the Finder. Dragged files are either in RTF or RTFD format depending on if the file contains attachments such as pictures.
What are those buttons on the main window when I start Considera?
When no document is selected (like when you launch Considera), the main text view is removed. Underneath this view are a few buttons. The buttons at the top, from left to right, perform these functions: export to desktop, open help book, and import from folder. The buttons on the left (“«”) and right (“»”) toggle showing the drawers.
Why can't I import this document?
Considera can import a wide variety of documents but there are a lot of document types still unsupported. An easy rule of thumb is if Apple's TextEdit can open it, Considera can as well. If you can't import the document into Considera, try opening it in a program that can read it and then copying the text into a new Considera document. Most of the time, you should be able to paste over all the formatting.
I ran the installed rot13 script and now I can't read my document! What now?
No worries. Rot13 encryption reverses itself so simply run the script again. That should transform the text into something much more readable.
