Seems like a good idea but it does not work I tried it with Filemaker Pro 9 on a Leopard system and notes did not attach to the Filemaker document. When I reopened the file the note was not there.

@George - Paperclip is available as a full-featured demo. If unregistered after 30 days, Paperclip stops letting you add notes to new documents until registered. You’ll still be able to view notes, however.
@Richard - I haven’t tried it with Filemaker before. Thanks for reporting the problem. I’ll look into it and see what I can do.
@Nicole - Paperclip doesn’t store empty notes. If you attach a note but switch out of it without adding anything, you’ll have to re-attach the note in the future. If you’ve added content and they aren’t saving, please email me and I’ll fix it as soon as I can.

Sorry, is this a beta trial?
Tried attaching notes, typed things in but the note just disappears.
This happens in mail, finder etc.
Note Viewer is empty.
Why does it need Universal Access?
cool concept but doesn’t work.

Paperclip works for the vast majority of document-based applications. There are a few problems with certain apps (which I’ll gladly work on as soon as I can), but, on the whole, it works well for many apps. And it needs Universal Access in order to communicate with other applications.

Won’t open! I got the welcome video once, but that’s it. (PowerBook G4, 10.5.1)

This is the single most frequent question I get asked. Paperclip is a menu bar application. Look for a paperclip icon in the menu bar after you launch it.

Nothing happens when I try to attach note to WORd 2004, TexEdit Pro. I can attach note to TextEdit, but note appears with all TextEdid documents rather than one specific document; i.e. it appears to attach note to applications rather than to individual document. Core 2 Duo MacBook, 2 GHz, OS X 10.5.2

Thanks Ron, I’ll look into the problems.
